On tour with The Burlesque Show

On April 6, 2012, in News, by admin

I have been enjoying touring around the country with a troupe of some of the very best variety performers in the world as part of ‘The Burlesque Show’. A co-production of the Ministry Of Burlesque and Nett UK.

We have been travelling around the North of England in recent weeks, playing to packed provincial theatres and having a great deal of fun along the way.

Some of the regular cast on this part of the tour include performers Elliot Mason, Elan, Coco Malone, Kittie Klaw, Mia Merode, Fancy Chance, Ria Lina and Lili La Scala.

Be sure to check out the gigs page and please do come and see the show if it’s playing in your local area. It’s a fantastic night of variety entertainment not to be missed!

The Burlesque Show

On August 14, 2011, in News, by admin

On July 3rd Jim performed as his Elvis act as part of a new variety extravaganza ‘The Burlesque Show’, produced by Nett UK.

The night showcased some of the country’s finest cabaret, variety and burlesque talent including Kittie Klaw, Elliot Mason, Dolores Delight, Dani Califronia, Mat Ricardo & Elle Amour.

Jim’s Elvis routine was not the standard fare however, as the act began as a humble janitor cleaning up the stage throughout the first half, only to revel the jumpsuit underneath a dark blue boiler suit to bring the first and second half’s to an exciting climax!

The show was reviewed by ‘The Real Chris Sparkle’ which commented: “…it was a really terrific night’s entertainment, which went down a complete storm with the audience.”

About This Is Elvis Chris remarked: “He was brilliant! I’m not a great Elvis fan but he did his very best songs and it worked extremely well. Would you believe he is the grandson of Ed Devereaux of Skippy fame? Now there’s quality.”

The show will be going on the road once again this coming October, details online soon!
